New details continue to emerge about a drug chase that ended with the driver bailing out in front of the Action 4 News studios in Harlingen.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers arrested 19-year-old driver Guillermo Cruz Saucedo for the incident.

Saucedo is behind bars at the Cameron County Jail under $45,000 dollars in bonds for possession of marijuana and evading arrest.

Public records show the Chevrolet Suburban he drove was registered to his uncle Aaron Saucedo of Fresnos Street in Brownsville.

But officers with the Brownsville's Auto Theft Task Force have arrested Aaron Saucedo for a separate crime.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Aaron Saucedo falsely reported his vehicle missing once his nephew called and told him he was being chased by state troopers.

Aaron Saucedo is expected to face a Brownsville Municipal Court judge on Friday morning.
