A Rio Grande Valley teen is out on bond after using a switch blade knife during a fight in the parking lot of a local high school.
Edinburg ISD police booked Isaac Casarez into the Hidalgo County Jail early Friday afternoon.
The 18-year-old Economedes High School student is facing an aggravated assault charge.
Court records released in the case show the incident happened at school back in February.
The records show that Casarez challenged another student to a fight in the parking lot where he pulled out a chrome-plated switch blade knife.
Accoding to the records, Casarez allegedly threatened to cut up and kill the other student.
Hidalgo County Justice of the Peace Homer Jasso issued an arrest warrant back in March but Casarez was not arrested until Friday.
The 18-year-old was released from the Hidalgo County Jail after posting a $20,000 dollar bond that same day.
