Score a hole in one to help raise money for education.

The Harlingen Chapter of the KOC will host a golf tournament to benefit local students.

Friday morning Israel Guajardo and Mike Garcia came to our studios to explain.

They said that the money raised will go directly to the Martin Segura Scholarship fund.

Martin Segura was a former teacher, principal and administrator for Harlingen School district.

Scholarships are awarded to the students of Harlingen, Harlingen South and Rio Hondo High Schools.

For many years the Knights have awarded 3 scholarships 1 per school. Their goal for this 1st annual golf tournament is to double this number.

The scholarships awarded in the past have been in the amount of $500.00 per student.

Registration the day of the tournament from will be available from 7:00-8:00 am.

$75.00 per person 3 man teams. And it is a Shotgun Florida scramble.

The Prizes $ 900.00 1st $600.00 2nd $300 3rd
