Teens arrested following drive by shooting in Raymondville

Two men are behind bars after being accused of taking part in an drive by shooting near downtown Raymondville.

Officers first responded to a call about a shots fired into the air on Monday night.

Just hours later, they responded to another call about shots fired towards an apartment complex on the 300 block of Main Ave.

Officers later arrested 17-year-old Roel Rodriguez and 19-year-old Justin Orozco.

No injuries were reported but police said the suspects matched the description of the first call from Monday night.

Raymondville police said the shooting was likely gang related, but they are still investigating.

Both men faced a judge on Tuesday afternoon and were charged with deadly conduct.

Officers recovered the handgun used in the drive-by shooting.
