Teens storm house after argument on Christmas Day

Two teenagers are behind bars after a storming into a home on Christmas Day with a firearm.

The incident happened on the 800 block of East Adams around 11 a.m.

Authorities said Leroy Pena and Jason Luther Martinez threatened a resident with a silver handgun after an argument Wednesday.

According to the Harlingen Police Department, 19-year-old Pena and 18-year-old Martinez fled the scene before authorities arrived.

Police found them less than an hour later.

The incident is still under investigation.

The pair is facing second degree felonies and could be fined up to 10,000 and face 2 to 30 years in prison.

Pena and Martinez are currently at the Harlingen Police Department.

They will be transferred to Cameron County Jail after they are arraigned Friday afternoon on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges.
