Third deadly shooting suspect turns himself in to Brownsville police

Another arrest has been made in connection to the deadly shooting of a Brownsville man.

Geraldo Lopez turned himself in to Brownville police during the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

He has been charged with murder after Charles Owen and Kevin Lozano were also arrested on Tuesday in connection to the murder.

Authorities said the murder suspects and the victim were acquaintances.

Don Torres was shot in front of his home on the 6800 block of El Lago Road in Brownsville.

The murder happened on Sunday, May 18th, and preliminary autopsy results showed Torres died from internal bleeding as a result of the gunshot wound.

Police found Torres lying on his back, with his head close to the curb and feet towards the roadway.

All three suspects remained jailed with their bonds set at $500,000.

Authorities do not anticipate any other arrests in this case, which remains under investigation.
