Three people are expected to face a judge after being accused of helping former Hidalgo County District Clerk Omar Guerrero flee to Mexico.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office reported that Guerrero was released from jail after posting a $1.05 million bond on a drug charge.

Guerrero was supposed to be charged in a sexual abuse case last week but investigators reported he went missing before he could be arrested.

Investigators believe three people are believed to have helped Guerrero flee to Mexico.

One of the three suspects was identified as Mari Solis, a reserve police officer with the Palmview Police Department.

Palmview Police Chief Christopher Barrera said his agency has cooperated fully with the U.S. Marshals and the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office.

Chief Barrera said Solis had been a reserve police officer for a year but was dishonorably discharged following her arrest.
