      Three arrested in connection to stabbing near Harlingen City Lake

      Three young men are behind bars after being accused of taking part in a fight that ended with a stabbing near Harlingen City Lake.

      Harlingen police arrested Isaac John Barron, Jesus Edgar Briseo and Nathaniel A. De La Garza on aggravated assault charges on Thursday.

      Investigators told Action 4 News that the three are accused of taking part in a fight that ended with a many being stabbed.

      The incident happened early Wednesday morning on the 300 block of North 5th Street near Harlingen City Lake.

      Two unknown women dropped off the stabbing victim at the Valley Baptist Medical Center emergency room where he walked in for treatment.

      Police said the man had been stabbed seven times in his upper torso by Barron.

      Investigators reported that Briseo and De La Garza also participated in the same fight.

      Police arrested the three suspects on Thursday with the help of the U.S. Marshals.

      The three appeared before a Harlingen Municipal Court judge on Friday where they were issued bonds ranging from $50,000 to $100,000 dollars.
