Three people are confirmed dead and eight others were transported to a local hospital after a driver of a Ford F-150 lost control and rolled over.
The fatal rollover happened around 4:15 p.m. on FM 490 East of Pipeline Road in Starr County.
According to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), the driver fled the scene and was picked up by another driver in an older model green Dodge Durango.
Unknown subjects fled into the brush near the scene of the rollover, according to DPS.
They were able to locate two people who fled from the scene, and they were transported to a local hospital.
DPS is conducting an aerial search along with U.S. Border Patrol to locate the other passengers who fled the scene.
