A trial is set to begin Wednesday morning for a San Benito man accused of brutally murdering a 19-year-old college student.
Robert Martinez is just one of six people arrested in the stabbing death of 19-year-old Texas State Technical College student Angel Perez.
Martinez TMs trial is expected to start on Wednesday morning.
San Benito investigators said Martinez and five other men attacked Perez in November.
Perez was reportedly with two men who Martinez and other believed were burglarizing cars in their neighborhood.
The suspects claimed police were charging the wrong people.
Family members said Perez had battled Hodgkin's Lymphoma for 18 months and was in remission for about two months before he died.
Along with murder charges, Martinez is also being tried on two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant.
