Tropical moisture being pushed over the Rio Grande Valley will bring increasing chances for rain Saturday through Monday.
The shower and thunderstorm activity will be scattered Saturday afternoon, especially over the Lower Valley.
It may be more widespread Sunday as an area of low pressure treks across the southern Gulf of Mexico bringing a southeasterly flow of moist air over the area.
Expect light to moderate pockets of rain. Some isolated areas could bring brief, heavy rain.
The activity should continue through Monday.
