A murder suspect is behind bars after authorities tracked him down to an apartment complex in Palmview.
McAllen police reported that Texas Chicano Brotherhood gang member Anthony Joe Cortinas is in custody after weeks on the run.
Cortinas is one of three suspects identified in the murder of 26-year-old Ryan Tyler Sewell.
The McAllen man's body was found inside a burning truck in north McAllen back on July 21st.
McAllen police charged Douglas Jasso for his role in the crime but Cortinas and Christopher George Hernandez were listed as fugitives in the drug-related murder.
Working on a tip, a task force led by the U.S. Marshals raided an apartment complex off North Point Boulevard and East Godwin Road in Palmview on Friday.
The raid ended with authorities finding Cortinas hiding inside the apartment.
Cortinas remains in custody under a $1 million dollar bond.
