Valley ambulances were among nationwide recall

Ambulances from the Rio Grande Valley are among a nationwide recall

Ford is recalling thousands of ambulances across the United States, including some in the Rio Grande Valley.

The auto maker says a faulty sensor can make the engine stop unexpectedly.

South Texas Emergency Care (STEC) Foundation officials in Harlingen reported that it has three ambulances on the recall list.

STEC officials said three units affected by the recall in Harlingen have already been repaired and are already out of the shop.
