A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued across deep South Texas until 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
According to the National Weather Service it affects seven counties:

Rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in the Rio Grande Valley and deep South Texas.
According to the National Weather Service in Brownsville, some thunderstorms may produce gusty winds and small hail Wednesday afternoon.
Very warm temperatures can be expected again this afternoon.
Afternoon highs ranging from the upper 80s in the northern counties to the lower 90s in the Upper Valley.
Light winds early this morning will become east northeast 10 to 15 mph in the late morning and afternoon.
