A Rio Grande Valley man is facing execution on Thursday for a drug-related murder that took place in McAllen more than 14 years ago.
Arturo Eleazar Diaz is schedule to be executed on Thursday.
Diaz was convicted for his role in a drug-related murder in McAllen back in April 1999.
Court records show that Diaz and co-defendant Jorge Luis Cordova stabbed their male victim 94 times in the upper chest.
Another man who was in the same apartment was also stabbed two times in the face.
Prosecutors reported that Diaz and Cordova were looking for drugs and wanted to rob the victim. The two fled the scene with cash.

Diaz is expected to become the 10th person to be executed in a crime from the Valley since 1982.
