Valley police on alert for Houston area Mother's Day murder suspect

Local police are on alert for a murder suspect who allegedly killed a Houston area man in front of his family just after they left a Mother's Day celebration.
KHOU-TV reported 43-year-old Ramundo Zerate, Jr. was gunned down in front of his family on Sunday night.
According to a report from KHOU, Zerate and his family were celebrating at Spring Creek Park Sunday when he got into a fight with a stranger.
Zerate took his family home but the suspect followed him to his home on Meadow Edge Drive, confronted him again and shot him to death in front of his family.
Montgomery County Sheriff TMs Office deputies described the suspect as "heavily-tattooed" and said a green four-door passenger car, possibly a Chevy Cavalier.
On Monday afternoon, police in the Rio Grande Valley were issued an alert from Magnolia to be on the lookout for a suspect in the case identified as 42-year-old David F. Longoria.
Investigators believe Longoria may be driving a green 2000 Daewoo vehicle.
