It's a silverscreen saga that drew thousands of Rio Grande Valley residents to local movie theaters overnight.

Members of Team Edward and Team Jacob all lined up for a special screening at 12:01 a.m. Friday.

"Breaking Dawn" is the latest chapter in the "Twilight" series.

It's the fourth film for the popular vampire movie franchise.

Valley movie theaters showed the first three Twlilight films Thursday evening.

A midnight screening of "Breaking Dawn" followed.

Action 4 News visited the Harlingen Cinemark where parking was hard to come by.

All sixteen screens were showing the film but all of them sold out.

With an average 200 seats per screen, that's more than 3,200 people in one building.

It's a scene that was repeated at movie theaters across the Valley.
