Valley's third largest city votes to keep its mayor

The Rio Grande Valley TMs third largest city will keep its mayor.

Voters in Edinburg went to the polls and re-elected Richard H. Garcia.

Garcia got 1,426 votes or about 73.5 percent of the ballot.

Challenger Frank Lara received 515 votes or 26.5 percent of the vote.

According to the 2010 Census, Edinburg is now the Valley TMs third largest city after Brownsville and McAllen.
