Authorities have a identified 27-year-old man who was killed in a fatal wreck that took place north of Donna on Monday night.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reports that 27-year-old Orlando Gonzalez was killed in the fatal wreck.
State troopers said the accident happened around 8:00 p.m. Monday near the intersection of FM 493 and Highway 107.
Troopers say a passenger car traveling west on Highway 107 turned left, and a jeep traveling east broadsided it.
Gonzalez was aboard the red jeep.
A pickup truck was stopped at the intersection and was reportedly hit as a result.
A total of six people where injured in the accident.
State troopers reported that a 9-year-old girl was flown to the Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen where she remains in critical condition.
The others were reportedly taken to McAllen Medical Center and other local hospitals.
Troopers say they believe alcohol played a role in the accident.
Blood was reportedly drawn from one of the drivers involved in the accident but results remain pending.
