A man is now serving life in prison after confessing to killing his wife on Facebook Live.

Through an open records request, CBS 4 obtained video of 47-year-old Alvaro Medrano's murder confession.

The video was posted by Medrano on Aug. 8, 2017, just minutes after shooting his wife and his mother-in- law outside of his Edinburg home.

During the live video, Medrano received a call from 911.

Medrano can be seen in the video confessing to the dispatcher, telling them where he is and saying that he would have his hands up.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Olga and Irene Espinosa dead with gunshot wounds to the head inside a car.

In the live video and in later interviews with police, Medrano said he killed both women after a domestic disturbance due to infidelity.

On Feb. 5, Medrano was sentenced to life in prison for the crimes.
