Former District Attorney Armando Villalobos

U.S. District Court Judge Andrew Hanen revealed that the case was moving slow, the jury will have to spend their Saturday in court to make up for lost time.

During day four of the testimony in the trial of former District Attorney Armando Villalobos, the defense attorney cross-examined Oscar De La Fuente.

Only two witnesses have given testimony in the trial, Oscar De La Fuente being one of them.

Villalobos is accused of abusing his elected office to enrich himself and others.

Defense attorneys had their shot to cross-examine San Benito based lawyer Oscar De La Fuente.

The defense said that De La Fuente was given a Get Out of Jail Free card by prosecutors although he participated in the cash for court favors scheme.
