A wanted sex offender from Houston was arrested on Friday in Weslaco.
Gonzalo Molina was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service, a multi agency led by Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF).
The 25-year-old was wanted in Harris County for Indencency with a Child by Sexual Contact.
He committed the crimes back in October 2010 and January 2011. He has been on the run since he learned of the warrant out for his arrest.
The GCVOFTF received information that Molina was in Weslaco, and confirmed the information when they saw him leaving a home in the area. The task force followed the car Molina got into and stopped it to make the arrest.
Molina is being held at the Weslaco Police Department awaiting extradition to Houston.
