Warrant issued for shooter in homicide, multi-county chase
A warrant has been issued for a man who allegedly shot two people, then led authorities on a multi-county chase.
Police are looking for Jesus Balli Garcia after he allegedly shot a man and woman Friday evening in the area of 2900 block of Easley Street.
Corpus Christi police said 25-year-old Garcia fled the scene after the shooting and led multiple law enforcement agencies on a chase.
The chase began in Corpus Christi to just north of Raymondville in Kenedy County.
An aggravated assault warrant has been issued for Garcia at this time.
One of the victim TMs in the shooting is currently hospitalized and another was shot dead.
Kenedy County borders Willacy County and is about 95 miles South of Corpus Christi.
US Border Patrol, US Customs, Kleberg County Sheriff's Department, Kenedy County Sheriff's Department, Nueces County Sheriff's Department, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Corpus Christi Police Department assisted with the incident.
The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reported the shooting stemmed from a family violence incident.
Authorities were still on scene around 12:30 a.m. Saturday as the chase has just come to a stop in Kenedy County.
