Rio Grande Valley residents are advised to dress warmly and layer up, as wind chills drop extremely low.
A wind chill advisory remains in effect for the Rio Grande Valley until Noon today.
Temperatures in the 30's to right around 40 will persist through the day with winds sustained out of the north at 20-25 mph.
The combination of the low temperatures and strong winds will results in wind chills, or "feels like" temperatures between the upper 20's and low 30's through the early afternoon.
This afternoon, winds are expected to relax slightly to the 5-15 mph range, helping things feel more on par with actual air temperatures.
Overnight, we should bottom out in the 30's before seeing a slight warm up to the upper 50's tomorrow and return to normal by Thursday.
