A missing persons case is getting renewed interest 14 years after the original report is made.
Weslaco police believe this may be a murder case but are not ready to call it that until they have proof.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Isidro Limon hasn't been heard from or seen in 14 years.
Police say Limon's family is still holding onto hope that he may be alive.
Limon was 23 years old when he went missing.
He was last seen on September 15th, 2000 by his girlfriend at the time on the 1000 block of South Nebraska Avenue.
Eight years later, police got a tip that he was buried near the 7600 block of Eden Drive just north of Weslaco.
Investigators went to that location and dug an 8 foot hole but were unable to find a body or any evidence that someone was buried there.
Police are not giving any background information on what Limon was involved in or where he worked.
But they are hoping that someone will speak out.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Weslaco Police Department at (956) 968-TIPS.
