Wed, 23 Jul 2014 13:07:48 GMT — Two new Federal Appeals Court rulings regarding a key component of the Affordable Care Act are now in effect. A U.S. Court in Washington, D.C. has ruled against government subsidies to buy health insurance in federal healthcare exchanges in states that don't offer them. But in a separate ruling in Virginia is ruling in favor. The subsidies act as tax credits that Americans purchasing health care under the ACA. Jose Medrano with Enroll America joined Sunrise this morning to explain how this could potentially impact your pocketbook. He also gave us new numbers on how many people have registered for the ACA in Texas. Plus, why CHIP and Medicaid recipients have indirectly grown as a result of the new health mandate.
