Wed, 12 Mar 2014 14:22:23 GMT — A cold front will bring strong winds, and cooler temperatures, to the Rio Grande Valley today. As a result, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Cameron, Willacy, and Kenedy counties. When the front arrives, winds will pick up quickly between 30-40 mph with gusts to 45 mph. All loose objects, like lawn furniture and trash cans should be tied down. In addition, high profile vehicles will have difficulty on roadways. Seas will also be rough, so Spring Breakers should use caution when visiting local beaches. The wind will begin to subside this evening. Temperatures will reach the upper 60's today and tomorrow, before rebounding to the upper 70's Thursday and 80's Friday.
