A 32-year-old Harlingen woman was arrested for trespassing on someone TMs property and for dropping bag of puppies onto pavement.
On Friday, Harlingen police responded to a home on the 800 block of North B St.
The residents of the home called to say that a woman, later identified as Chastity Elaine Eldridge, would not leave the property.
As officers approached her, Eldridge put her hands in the air and dropped the nylon bag to the ground.
Once she was detained, officers checked the bag and found two small pit-bull puppies inside.
The puppies were taken to the Harlingen Animal Shelter. They did not suffer any injuries from the incident and appear to be in good health. They were later released to a third party.
Eldridge was arrested for Criminal Trespassing and Cruelty to Animals.
Her bonds totaled $7,000.
