A man and woman are in custody after stealing a movie, food and makeup.
Yovana Portes Hernandez and Luis Velasquez-Alfonso allegedly stole the items at the Walmart on W. Lincoln Avenue Wednesday.
Harlingen police said the loss prevention officer saw the pair in the electronics department putting merchandise in their purse.
Hernandez and Velasquez-Alfonso attempted to leave the store with the items that totaled at $59.58, but was stopped by the loss prevention officer.
Police arrested both the Harlingen residents for theft and took them to the city jail.
Through the booking process, police found a baggie of cocaine in possession of 36-year-old Hernandez.
Bond is pending for the suspect.
A bond of $1,000 was set for 23-year-old Velasquez-Alfonso.
