Mission police told Action 4 News they discovered the body of woman on the city's northwest side early Tuesday morning.
They told us the discovery happened off Moorefield and Roman Roads around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Investigators told Action4 News that the body of 23-year-old Christina Kalifa was laying on the grass with her feet sticking on the road.
A passerby called police to report a body along the roadaway.
Investigators said Kalifa had two gun shot wounds to the back of her neck.
Authorities have ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death and said they are treating this case as a homicide.
