A Harlingen woman is out on bond after an alleged DWI wreck where her car was involved in an accident with two motorcycles.
Harlingen police arrested 57-year-old Thelma Huerta Benitez on three counts of intoxication assault late Friday night.
Investigators believe Benitez was intoxicated at the time of an auto accident involving her car and two motorcycles.
According to preliminary reports, her car rear-ended a motorcycle carrying a man and a woman.
The motorcycle went into another motorcycle also carrying a man and a woman.
Paramedics rushed three of the four people on the two motorcycles to a local hospital for medical treatment.
A woman aboard one of the motorcycles only had minor injuries and declined medical treatment at the scene.
Investigators told Action 4 News that a mandatory blood draw was done on Benitez.
The Harlingen woman has been released from custody after posting $30,000 in bonds.
