Authorities are working to identify a woman TMs body after it was found buried in the sands of South Padre Island.
Cameron County Sheriff TMs Department deputies are investigating the case.
Sheriff Omar Lucio said the body was spotted by a passerby about five or six miles north of Beach Access 6 after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Lucio said that the the passerby saw coyotes eating something in the sand and alerted deputies.
Investigators said the body appears to be of a female wearing green shorts and a purple or blue shirt.
Deputies believe that the victim TMs body has been buried there for about a week.
Authorities found the woman's body near the same area where the body 35-year-old Irving resident Jeremy Tyrone Eyster was found last week.
Sheriff Lucio said at this time, investigators do not believe that the two cases are related.
