Woman's walker thrown during alleged assault

      A man is behind bar after being accused of assault family violence.

      Joel Antonio Lopez was arrested after a call was made to authorities about a husband and wife arguing.

      When authorities showed up to the apartments in Harlingen, they heard Lopez arguing with his wife.

      Lopez's wife allegedly told police that he was mad because he was left at his sister's house without a ride home.

      Lopez had allegedly been drinking, and finally found a ride back to his house.

      According to documents, he started arguing with his wife and threw her walker against the wall.

      Lopez also threw a television on the floor before being arrested by authorities on a charge of assault by intimidation.

      He plead guilty to the charge and was issued a $400 fine
