Wreckless driving and DWI's land San Benito men in jail

Two men are jailed in San Benito, police said, for driving while intoxicated.
Robert Obregon, 29, was arrested and jailed after an officer saw him speeding down West Strenger Street at 4:43 Sunday morning, and witnessed him run a red light.
According to a report, Obregon pulled over for police, but refused to take a breathalyzer test.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated on Monday.
His bond was set at 15,000 dollars.
On Monday, San Benito Police also arrested Rolando Vera.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was caught speeding on north Expressway 77/83 near the Sam Houston overpass.
Vela also refused a take a breathalyzer test.
Police reports reveal Vela had a previous DWI conviction, so charges were ~enhanced to a class A misdemeanor TM.
His bond was set at 10,000.
In 2009, more than 3,000 people were killed by drunk drivers in Texas alone.
