A man was taken into custody on Friday after he was identified as a person of interest in the Harlingen fatal shooting case.
Detectives were able to link Gabriel Vela to the death of 21-year-old Mayra Bianey Oyervides.
The 21-year-old was shot several time, by two gunmen. At least two bullets hit Oyervides TM head, according to witnesses at the scene.
The shooting happened in a second floor apartment off Wright and G Streets around 6 p.m. Monday.
Vela is the husband of Dorothy Lee Sanchez, who taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with Murder.
Police were able to identify Sanchez as the getaway driver.
Vela was caught by members of the Harlingen Police Department, the Targeted Response Unit and the U.S. Marshalls at the Knights Inn Motel in Edinburg.
He was taken to the Harlingen City Jail.
The 28-year-old is pending arraignment on Murder and Attempted Murder charges.

Authorities are still looking for another male suspect connected to the case.
