Xanax pill costs high school student $5,000 dollars
A high school student is facing felony criminal charges after getting busted with a Xanax pill on campus.
Harlingen police were called to the Harlingen High School located on 1200 E. Marshall on Wednesday/.
A security officer told police that student Michael Paul Martinez was in possession of narcotics.
A police report reveals, Martinez tossed a piece a paper on the floor as the security officer approached.
Security officer said they "recovered the white piece of paper and located one white pill cut in half with visible markings GG249 known as Alprazolam (Xanax)".
Police arrested Martinez and charged him with possessing a control substance in a drug free zone.
Martinez appeared before a Harlingen Municipal Court judge where his bond was set at $5,000.
