McAllen police arrest state trooper accused of indecent exposure
RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (KGBT) - The McAllen Police Department arrested a state trooper on Sunday after a woman accused him of indecent exposure.
Officers arrested probationary state Trooper Jeremy Rashaad Keys, 30, of Mission, on Sunday morning, when he was off duty and in his personal vehicle.
The McAllen Police Department dispatched officers to the 900 block of Trenton Road after a woman called to complain about a man exposing himself.
"The reporting party, a female, complained that a male, while in his personal vehicle at the parking lot at this location, exposed himself to her in an indecent manner," according to a news release from the McAllen Police Department. CBS 4 News requested a copy of the criminal complaint on Monday morning, but the records weren't immediately available.
Keys is charged with indecent exposure, a Class B misdemeanor.
Officers booked Keys at the Hidalgo County jail at 9:41 p.m. Sunday. He was released at 10:28 p.m.
Keys is assigned to Rio Grande City and still undergoing field training, according to a statement released by Tom Vinger, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety. After the arrest, the Department of Public Safety suspended Keys with pay.
