An Iowa woman who survived a deadly tour bus crash in Mexico is mourning the loss of her husband, who died in the collision.
Friends of the couple said Maggie and Ronald Christy, of West Liberty, Iowa, loved taking bus trips to Mexico, and even helped organize Monday's trip.
Ronald was sitting in the front of the bus.
His seat was destroyed in the crash.
Maggie was sitting in the back for a better view of the scenery.
Friends said Maggie and Ronald loved giving to others.
"They really enjoyed life, but if somebody needed help, they would be there," explained Thomas Brooke, friend of the Christy's. "Or if the church needed help, they would be there, with no fanfare."
The Christys spent their winters in the Rio Grande Valley.
Relatives said once Maggie has recovered, she will be flown back to Iowa.
Monday's crash killed 11 people and injured more than a dozen others.
