Hidalgo man one of Two Fort Bragg soldiers arrested for murder

A U.S. Army soldier from the City of Hidalgo is jailed tonight on murder charges.

Pvt. Sebastian Gamez and Spc. Christoper Blackett are being held without bond for allegedly killing Vincent Carlisle and hiding his remains in the woods in Spring Lake in North Carolina.

Carlisle went missing on August 14th, but his body was not recovered until this week.

Gamez and Blackett were both arrested on Thursday evening and charged with the first-degree murder of their 17-year-old neighbor.

Authorities haven't commented on a motive in Carlisle's death.

Gamez, 20, is from the City of Hidalgo, and asked for a court appointed attorney.

He joined Army in 2009, and currently serves as a truck driver with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg.
