A Brownsville woman ends up jailed for pointing a laser at a Border Patrol helicopter
Police said they received a 911 call claiming a person was pointing a laser directly at an aircraft from an address on Frankfurt Street.
Brownsville police officers located the addressed.
Yesenia Lisabeth Diaz admitted to police she pointed the laser towards a U.S. Border Patrol helicopter, but did not think that it would reach that far.
The 20-year-old was arrested and charged with a Class C misdemeanor.
Last month, a Donna man was sentenced to federal prison for pointing a laser at a federal helicopter.
