WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) - White House reporters treated the nation to a rare glimpse of a bare and empty Oval Office.

The carpet was removed for replacing exposing the pattern of the hardwood floors. The walls and shelves were also cleared.

The White House is undergoing a series of renovations while President Trump takes a working vacation to Bedminster, New Jersey.

Some of the White House upgrades include fixing existing leaks, repairs to the South Portico steps, new carpeting, new heating and air conditioning systems, renovations to the West Wing lobby and an improved IT system.
