Action 4News has posted unedited video of Brownsville Mayor Pat Ahumada speaking with reporters after being released from jail.

Ahumada turned himself in on theft, failure to perform fiduciary duty and abuse of office charges.

The Brownsville mayor spoke with reporters outside the Carrizales-Rucker Dentention Center in Olmit.

Ahumada remains free on a $15,000 bond.

He is accused of deposting a $26,000 city check in his personal business bank account.

The embattled mayor said he looks forward to his day in court. and h faith in the justice system.

"I look forward to the opportunity to present my side," Ahumada said.
