Rattler football team honors player with cerebral palsy

A dedicated football player was honored just before two teams faced off in Rio Grande City.
Two teams faced off in Rio Grande City honor a dedicated player just before kick off.
Rio Grande City player Bernie Tanguma took the ball in for an honorary football touchdown before the Mercedes versus Rio Grande City varsity football game on Friday night.
Tanguma was born with cerebral palsy but has participated in football since he was a child. He has grown up with his teammates, and on Friday night, they wanted to honor his dedication and enthusiasm.
"He loves football and he always tells our kids to do their best at every team everytime, Rio Grande City High School principal Aldolfo Pena Jr. said.
Tanguma never misses a practice or game, and he travels with the team to away games.
