Former Hidalgo QB Patterson Transferring To Michigan
(CBS 4 Sports) - Former Hidalgo Pirates quarterback Shea Patterson will be moving on from Ole Miss and heading to Ann Arbor as the signal caller announced on Twitter Monday that he will be transferring to The University of Michigan.
Patterson, who will be a junior in the 2018 season. will need to apply for a waiver to avoid having to sit out a year, however with the sanctions currently facing his former program at Ole Miss and the NCAA allowing elevating seniors the opportunity to transfer from Ole Miss without penalty, it is likely that Patterson would be granted the same opportunity.
Patterson threw for 2,259 yards and 17 touchdowns before the Rebels lost him for the season with a leg injury. The former top QB recruit would likely compete for the starting job.
