Esteban joined the station in 2013 as a freelance correspondent, and considers the career move a huge positive change in his life. Eventually, he made his way to the hosting chair, and now brings viewers news, entertainment and lifestyle segments every morning on Daytime at Nine.
Esteban has covered countless stories since he first came to the station, but says his very first assignment was the most memorable. He spent seven days exploring two resorts in Mexico, and got completely immersed in the stories and culture. That assignment has been hard to top.
In his free time, Esteban spends as much time as possible with his family. One of his favorite places is the family ranch in La Salle County. It is there that he enjoys his "hectic" version of R&R.
Esteban is a San Antonio native and also spends time mentoring young people in the area. He shares his personal story of how he overcame the obstacles in his life, in the hope that others may think about how their current choices will impact their future. Esteban considers it a privilege to speak to at-risk youth, and welcomes the opportunity to make a difference in his community.
