1 person in custody after DEA raids Mission home
One person is in custody after local and federal agencies raided a Mission home Friday morning.
The Drug Enforcement Administration, along with local and federal law enforcement agencies, raided the home on the 3000 block of Gold Avenue at about 9 a.m. after receiving a tip regarding unusual activity, according to a spokesperson for the DEA McAllen.
The DEA believes the home was a "street-level distribution place" where small amounts of cocaine and marijuana were being packaged for street sales.
Officials say a couple of weapons were seized.
The Pharr Police Department, Mission Police Department, Edinburg Police Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted in the raid.
The case remains under investigation.
