2 in custody following raid at stash house in Alamo
UPDATE: The two suspects have been identified as 54-year-old Cristobal Godinez and 33-year-old Christopher Vigario.
They were charged with possession of marijuana on Friday.
Original Story: Two people are in custody after a stash house raid in Alamo Thursday afternoon.
The Alamo Major Crimes Unit and San Juan LEERT executed a search warrant at the stash house located on the 400 block of Cripple Creek, seizing a large amount of marijuana and crack cocaine, as well as an unknown amount of currency, said Alamo Police Chief Baudelio Castillo.
Castillo says the two suspects —who were not identified— did not live at the stash house and will be arraigned Friday morning.
The Alamo Major Crimes Unit had been surveilling the house for nearly a week after a tip came through Crime Stoppers.
Castillo says the department will continue to fight drugs in the area.
“Any information that the community might have, we would really appreciate it if they would contact the Crime Stoppers number which is 702-8477. We will look into it and investigate every tip that we receive,” Castillo said.
