Alamo executive secretary, common-law husband arrested

UPDATE: We have learned that Eddie Ramirez, the common-law husband of City of Alamo Executive Secretary Crystal Garza was arrested shortly after Garza was arraigned on Friday afternoon.
The City of Alamo Police Chief said Ramirez will be arraigned on the same charge as Garza on Saturday afternoon.
Alamo police arrested the city's executive secretary Thursday night on an engaging in organized criminal activity charge, according to police Chief Baudelio Castillo.
Police arrested executive city secretary Crystal Denise Garza Thursday at about 8 p.m.
Garza is accused of leaking sensitive information to “local drug dealers,” Castillo said at a press conference Friday. Garza allegedly shared procedures and the addresses and identity of some undercover officers.
“The safety of our officers were in jeopardy by Ms. Garza providing this sensitive information to the local drug dealers,” Castillo said.
Garza was arraigned on the third-degree felony charge Friday afternoon.

Judge Celia Garza set bond at $40,000.
The case remains under investigation.
