A baby javelina was spotted at CB Wood Park in Harlingen on Sunday morning.

In a video that was submitted to us, the javelina was spotted around 7 a.m.

According to Texas Parks and Wildlife website, “Javelina have long held an undeserved reputation for ferocity. They have poor eyesight and will often remain around humans longer than other wildlife when startled. When cornered, they can defend themselves very effectively with sharp canine teeth or "tusks".

Texas Parks and Wildlife also said, “Aggressive encounters with humans are very, very rare.”

One of the main problems with javelina, according to Texas Parks and Wildlife, is because people intentionally feed them. Never intentionally feed a javelina.
