Hidalgo Police Chief suspended with pay
Rodolfo Espinoza, who is the Hidalgo Police Chief, has been suspended with pay.
According to a suspension letter obtained by CBS 4 written by Hidalgo City Manager Julian Gonzalez on October 16, Espinoza is under investigation for allegations of workplace conduct and potential conflict of interests.
As a result of the suspension, Espinoza “must not have any contact with any other staff, contractors or customers unless authorized by the city manager.”
Espinoza has also been told that he must turn in his department keys, badge, handgun and vehicle while on suspension.
No word on when the investigation will be completed.
